ISO 9001

ISO 9001:2015 is the International Standard for quality management. It details the requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organisations irrespective of size, type, industry or location can use ISO 9001.

Certification bodies give confirmation that an organisation’s QMS meets the requirements of the standard by undertaking an independent audit. There are over one million organisations around the world certified to ISO 9001.

The ISO 9000 series of standards, of which ISO 9001 is a member, are based on seven quality management principles. They are:
